Travel Info If u r an indian, then is singapore a good country to live in? Travel Tips SINGAPORE is definetely a GREAT place to stay. it has no racism...its a multi racial community..tat lives in harmony... so no worries if u r an eurasian , chinese, india or malay. besides, it is a very SAFE country..law enforcement officers such as policeman arent corrupted and they r very efficient. it has one of the most accessible transport system in the world. U don't have to drive in S'pore. the onli fall back is that the standard of living is pretty high... to own a condominium n car is pretty expensive as the road tax, insurance ,coe, erp(like a toll fee) , and parking adds on to the cost of owning a car. If u have qualification n experience ..n if u r lucky enough to get a relatively high paying job... u will love singapore as it has one of the lowest crime rate city in the world.. PLUS it is clean n green city! IF u r rich,,, u will LUV singapore too! Shopping is great... many malls in spore. every corner is accessible... cabs arent that expensive,cheaper alternative would be public buses n MRT. ANd most importantly, excellent local cuisine as well as international cuisine. LOcal cuisine such as chinese , indian,muslim are easily available. there r also many vietnamese, japanese, korean, indonesian, thai, french, brazillian restaurants here. Others Of course it is... Haven't you heard? "Singapore is a FINE city"~ ;) OK now jokes aside, the living standard is very high. But if you can get a good job, you'll be fine. By 2010, Singapore plans to join the first world countries... Definitely one great point to stay there. On the Indian case, Singapore has areas where a lot of Indian populate it. Whatever you religion/race, there's always a place to be. Singapore is a really good place to live in. It has one of the best zoos in Asia, A great shopping mall and family area. Singapore is made up of Chinese, Malaysians and Indians, mostly. It has some very quiet places to live or if you like the noise, then you can live in the city. I love it!!! Personal Experience Yes it is.. Compared to Malaysia, where I lived in, Singapore is more disciplined, properly organized, with enough amenities that you will love Singapore Just make sure you intergrate into our society. |
