Travel Tips
Basically correct. But you need to get to Golden Mile Complex to get your tickets and board the buses from there.

For a better image of how to get there, go to www.streetdirectory.com and search for 'golden mile complex'. Thereafter, zoom out the map to size 5 on the right hand side of the map. You should now be able to see the Lavender MRT (metro) station.

Directions:
1. Exit the MRT station towards the Singapore Immigration Registry Building.
2. Turn left once you hit the surface ground. (Lavender MRT is an underground station.)
3. Walk straight until you see a man made canal.
4. Cross the bridge on your right about 60 to 80 metres away.
5. You should be seeing a children's playground now.
6. turn half left (45 degrees to the left) from where you are and walk along the carpark until you see a main road (many cars on a one way traffic with a bus stop opposite.
7. Cross the road using the pedestrian crossing on your right.
8. Walk straight into the carpark and keep right.
9. It will lead you to a pedestrian path going into the housing estate.
10. Walk straight through it and you will see another carpark with a Food Centre across the road.
11. Keep walking along the food centre until you hit another main road.
12. Cross the overhead bridge on your right. Get down from the bridge on the left hand side.
13. Walk straight another 30 metres and golden mile complex is on your right.

An alternative route would be to take the MRT to Commonwealth MRT station, then take bus service 100 to a bus stop opposite golden mile complex.

Directions:
1. once you get out from the electronic gates of the station, look to your right and you should see a soccer pitch.
2. exit the station in that direction using the overhead bridge.
3. there is a bus stop under the bridge. take bus service 100 from there.
4. when boarding the bus, ask the bus driver to advice you on the fare and get him to inform you to alight the bus when you are there. Our bus drivers are english conversant.
5. Enjoy the trip.
6. When you alight, take the overhead bridge into Golden mile complex.

Bus tickets:
1. All the bus agencies are facing the outside road on level 1. You should now be able to see them. Approach any one of them for timings and pricing.
2. A bus to Puduraya, KL should cost about S$38 one way on a 26 seater coach. not forgetting a fuel surcharge of a few dollars.
3. The return trip cost RM38 (buy at Puduraya)
4. I personally recommend Five Stars Tours, GR Travel, Gunung Raya Travel, and Grassland Buses.

Travelling Time:
Singapore to KL - Approximately 6 hours.
Stopovers usually located at Yong Peng in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. A half hour break to take a peek and some light refeshments (at your own cost). Then either another toilet break along the highway, or straight into KL.

Word of advice:
1. Take the Commonwealth MRT route. Less confusing.
2. There are two faces to Golden Mile complex... The interior is where foreign Thai workers in Singapore congregate during their free time. The exterior ground floor is where the bus agencies are located. From a local viewpoint, the security in the interior is not so good.
3. Remember to ask the bus agent for the immigration card for entering Malaysia.
4. Explore the rail option into Malaysia at this link; though not very advisable due to the longer travelling time. http://forums.vr-zone.com/showthread.php...
