Hi, indeed there are FREE food available and can be found in Singapore.

In fact, you can go to almost all or any Chinese Temple in Singapore, especially the bigger temples, they have free breakfast and lunch provided for the needy families and old people.

Temples with FREE meals are:
1) The Singapore Buddhist Lodge
17 Kim Yam Rd, Far East Mansion, Singapore 239329.
Tel: 67372630

2) Loyang Tua Pek Kong
62G Loyang Way, Singapore 508772.
Tel: 63636633

There are too many for me to name them. You can visit http://www.yellowpages.com.sg and look under "Temple". A whole list of the names of temples will appear and you find more info then.

For your info, especially during the buddhas' (gods) birthdays, there are always a huge celebration and normally the celebration is accompanied by free meals for the devotees.
