Things to do in Singapore... for cheap?

What would you recommend for first-time tourists in Singapore? They're a couple, both around 60 yrs of age.

Any ideas or information is appreciated.

Go to the Singapore Zoo, you can do night time safari or the day trip. Its a really good zoo and not too expensive

What are their interest? Shopping? Sight-seeing? Food?

Sight-seeing:
Zoo, night safari, underwater world (Sentosa), Bird park,
Some good walks (free): MacRitchie, Lower pierce reservoirs, Tree top walk, Bishan park, Botanical gardens, Bukit Timah reserve hill.

Chinatown, Little India, Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, Museum.

Some art / performance: Esplanade (some are free), open air performance,

Shopping/Food: Vivocity, Orchard, Chinatown, Little India, Marina

Short trip to Batam, Bintan, Johor...
