Which is the better university - Stellenbosch or UCT? |
Travel Info Sorry for all these boring university questions. Oh one more thing, this would also include which do you think would be internationally recognized more. Travel Tips MATIES RULE BIG TIME! Both of them are recognized internationally. None more than the other. Stellenbosch University is an internationally recognized university with about 150 departments in 10 faculties and more than 40 research (and other) institutions. A century-long tradition of quality teaching and research has ensured Stellenbosch University鈥檚 place among the finest academic institution in Africa. Stellenbosch is a university town with a population of about 90,000, excluding students. Located 50 kilometers from Cape Town, the town is set on the banks of a river (lots of parties on the river banks when I was there) in the wine-growing region (whoo hoo...wine, buddy!) and is encircled by majestic mountains (not so good, because I had to run up them mountains and sing to the peaks during the "doop ceremony"). For swimming, surfing and other water sports, superb beaches can be reached in half an hour鈥檚 travel. Teaching at Stellenbosch University is provided in 10 faculties situated on four campuses: Stellenbosch, Tygerberg, Bellville Park and Saldanha. I lived in Stellenbosch a while and I can tell you it is like a mountain against a fart comparing it to UCT! Without a doubt, i would say UCT, it's a really great varsity and has tons of extra curriculars and international students. hope this helps. UCT is recognized internationally more. University of Pretoria is recognized internationally It is considered in the top 250 unversity's of the world Allot of UP's auditor's students gets jobs in the UK and the USA which the unversity arrange for them sorry to the maties but its UCT.
