Is it fair than Eugene De Kock was denied amnesty in the Truth and Reconciliation Commission hearings when the

criminal scum of the ANC responsible for the Church Street Bombings that killed 19 and injured 200, mainly civilians, were granted amnesty?
Is this not hypocrisy?

Travel Tips
No, it's not fair.
De Kock was actually applauded at the TRC hearings by the predomonantly black audience for his stark admissions of brutality and violence, whilst the higher-ups who gave him the orders to do what he did washed their hands of the whole thing, and claimed they had no knowledge of their subordinates actions.
In contrast, that sociopathic waste of flesh and bones - Winnie Mandela - was given a pass for her equally (if not more horrendous) crimes against humanity, including overseeing the murder and TORTURE of so-called collaborators IN HER HOME.
If there is a God, and there is true justice, the bit*h will burn in hell.

Eugene De Kock the vlakplass evil guy?
You want him released?
No ways
That guy killed too many people.
Hehehe, ja, neh. So, Bull after you visited prisons to verify their numbers you feel we should reduce conjestion by releasing De Kock?

The difference between the "criminal scum of the ANC" and De Kock is that the crinimal scum disclosed and admitted all that happened there. There was a verification process and the crinimal scum was found to be openly truthfull. On the other hand De Kock still hides a lot!!!!!

General - "the amnesties given were almost exactly proportionate to the affirmative action quotas stipulated by government" - this is a new urban legend!!!!!!
TRC records!!!!!
Ah well, guess you can still write him letters to cheer him up in the slammer on those cold nights when not even Bubba is interested in a snuggle.
South Africa has come through a turbulant past.De Kok was a product of a radical and evil order which seems to have just crumbled since they lost power through the negotiated settlement that released Nelson Mandela et al. His was an "official" role and as such he answered to his political masters who have since been crushed. There was a lot of poison and hate exposed in the Truth Commission but there is naturally still a reserve of hate and a surge of reverse Apartheied. If the murderers of innocent children and citizens by random bombings can be employed in high public positions like Traffic Departments etc that they have no background or training in, then the foot soldiers on the other side should be given amnesty as well.

It saddens me that our black compatriots, like the Afrikaners of old, have their heads in the sand and will endlessly vote for the political parties that appear to be their "saviours" and have patently passed their "sell by" date. We need a fresh look at our politics and this can only come about if we shed our blinkers and vote with our heads not our hearts for those who will serve our interests better.

De kok and others could well be part of this new disposition and the formulation of a better environment in our country.

Let us shed our ties with the past and give the future a boost.
