Durban weather? |
Travel Info I am going to South Africa, Durban next week and I would like to know what is the weather like there. Someone suggested that it gets really cold in the evening/night. Travel Tips Compared to the rest of Africa Durban has some great weather. It never gets as cold as most of the other areas. At the moment the evenings are cool but not really cold. I recommend bringing at least one jersey or warm gown for the night but other then that you should be fine. Though wouldnt it be funny if I'd just told you that and you arrived in a freak cold front of -3 degrees or something? It might just be good to check with the weatherman a wee bit beforehand just to make sure. Others Now "really cold" is really, really relative. Durban is smack in the middle of SA's subtropical belt and so nothing ever gets cold. Just cooler at night. also June/ July is winter so maybe 10 to 20 degrees C and not quite so humid as opposed to 30 odd degrees C and up to 90 percent humidity. Not really cold. Jowjos right, its probaly got the best weather out of all the other cities but it does get pretty bad lightning storms and rain. Not often though I go to Durban High Cool enough to need a jumper and trousers in the evenings. A sweatshirt over you t-shirt and jeans deuring the day, but you'll likely have to take the sweatshirt off when you're in the sun. Durban, cold...ha ha ha !!! its winter there right now so it is mild weather right now. the nights can be a little windy but overall, it's mild. Generally Durban is never really cold even in winter, but this winter is reported to be one of the coldest Dbn has ever had. |
