I've just had a rather interesting debate on the age of the earth in the earth science section......? |
Travel Info so, SA regulars, what are you??? creationists or evolutionists. I'm a creationist.... Travel Tips Evolutionist It's much easier to follow the scientific version of creation than all the different religious creation myths. The story of the ape with the filed down jaw is referred to as the Piltdown Hoax which was exposed in 1953 by scientists. According to the genetic code in all life on earth everything had a common ancestor handily called LUCA (Last Universal Common Ancestor). The genes in each organism alive today can be traced back to that original ancestor. We didn't descend from apes we both evolved from a common ancestor possibly a proto-ape called Ramapithecus. Other Travel Tips The age of the earth is 8 billion years old. I'm a creationist too, but might become an evolutionist. God has a lot of time on his hands. Creationist. Both. . i'm somewhere in between. God created heaven and earth, but we know that the biblical books can be symbolic to say the least. who says the first 7 days didn't take 7 billion years? the general ponders on the debate... |
