It is an South American fruit from Ecuador,Colombia and Peru. They are growing it on an experimental basis in South Africa.Unfortunatly I could not find an adress for the farm in SA. It is actually called Cherimoya or chirimoya or chirimolla. Spain is actually the biggest producers of the fruit. They also grow it some places in the middle east. If you Google Cherimoya you will actually get a lot off websites with information about the fruit. I hope this helps. |
