Does anyone know about All-Africa Volunteers? |
Travel Info I want to do some volunteer work in Africa, for around 3-5 weeks. I came across the All-Africa Volunteers website, and it looks like they have a really cool tour and volunteer package. Has anyone had any experience with this group, or with their partner group, Lynx Tours? I would really appreciate it if people would share their experiences with this or any other volunteer organizations in Africa. Thanks! I work at a creche for children in the township and even there, I feel very safe. After what Alf has said, I also say: think well before you decide. Check with the Foreign Office which countries are safe(r). try helping "habitat for humanity" ... you help to build houses for poor people. its based locally (in South Africa) so you wont have too far to travel. |
