With all her follies, I still love her?

Now and then I am reminded that she is dying because of chronic diseases, corruption, crime and racial hatred. I am told that because she is in Africa she is inhibited by people of inferior intellect. I am always told that I enjoy resting my head on her bosom today only because people of supposed fairer complexion and intellect saved her from the savagery of my native forefathers.

I accept that like many others she is body perfect; and her troubled heart is no exception to the mad world we live in. True, she has many challenges to face, some will take years and I will die before she reaches perfection. But with all her follies she is still my beloved one.
