I of course refer to South Africa's Mandela, Mbeki, Zuma and various others. I will for now disregard some of the racist and violent lyrics to many of these political "anthems" for the time being. Presidents participate in ballroom dancing at the inaugural balls or try to play the saxophone, etc. Each culture has a different standard and the question must be answered according to each culture by insiders. Hey, I like the Madiba shuffle ! If it is a cultural thing so be it ! wouldn't it be funny if the president did the ''sokkie'' ? I'd dance if the beat was catchy. dont know When in Africa do as the Africans do the same goes for any place ie "when in Rome............................. you got it now. This is Africa and that's how it's done. Africans are rythmic and you better join unless you are politically immature! On the other hand you should remember that these are the products of the struggle. We were doing thing in unison. United in mind and action - and songs were lifting our "spirits". |
