But why do people behave like this, and how should I react? |
Travel Info I鈥檝e been checking answers to Wrrrr鈥檚 questions. I鈥檝e also been reading some responses to Ayiza鈥檚 answers or questions. I am disappointed by the way some of whites respond. Their answers or responses are disgusting. While they blame these two to be racist, they splash racist remarks against blacks. Why can't you deal with them as individuals? But when some of us post questions and answers that give whites collective guilt on apartheid and racism the quickest answer or response is 鈥渄on鈥檛 generalise鈥? When is generalisation not welcome? Is it when it comes against whites? Given this propensity to showcase your racism why must I accept that your negative comments about ANC government鈥檚 delivery record has nothing to do with the race of its leadership? I humbly request honest answers only! Travel Tips You are right, no matter how offended we feel at being called Afrikaner thieves or murderers - it's no excuse to throw around racist remarks. Others I am on record as saying that Ayiza and Wrrrr do often make some valid points, although they are guilty of expressing their opinions too aggressively at times and that there is hypocrisy practiced by almost all of the forums users, black and white, that is human nature, to distort reality to suit your own agenda's and differing situations. South Africa is a racialised country and is becoming more so by the day under ANC rule and misgovernance. The realities of this country are not set to change anytime soon. I don't care whether the ANC is pink. They simply are not delivering. Mind you, I would not want their job. Zimmy, you are one to talk, you are not as "tranquil" as you pretend. You know that I respect you and that I see you as a friend, but hey, you are not as cool and calm as you portray in this question of yours. You know that sometimes you don't say it directly but sometimes in your answers to them, you actually defend them (Ayiza and Wrrrr) which I don't blame you for because it is known that in the Black culture you guys stick together. And sad but true, the ANC is run by black leaders, it is logical that we will link the ANC with a race. Don't tell me you don't link the NP with Afrikaans narrow minded leaders. (See the race?) I will not, AND MARK MY WORDS TODAY, be accused of living next to a family I killed and robbed from, I will not be asked why I don't leave the country because I am corrupt and that because I'm white..... Ex-fuc*ing-scuse me!!!! It is OK for you guys to ask such questions which are absolutely racist, but it is not OK for us to slap them back of their own medicine. I ask you Zimmy, if you come upon such racism, do you honestly sit back and say I let bygones be bygones? I beg to differ! If I offended anyone answering Wrrrr's racist remarks, I apologise for it. I just can't stand people like him. Not all white or blacks are racists. One of my longest & best mxit friends is black. I also have a very good black friend working with me. Some of my black friends have told me that people like Wrrrr make them look bad as well & I feel for them, because they try to make this a good country to live in as well. Concerning the service delivery of the ANC... there is truely poor service delivery. The black people feel it the most currently as there are some of them that still don't have running water or electricity. There's been protests on the Golden Highway the last 2 mornings because of poor service delivery. It seems like the ANC would rather spend millions on name changes than on the people that need the money & services most. In 2005 there was a survey done about local goverment (municipalities) & 70% of them didn't even know that it was their responsibility to provide clean water to the residents of their respective areas. 55% of the municipal managers had no qualification or experience for the positions they held. I've also heard a lot of the people from the townships complain that as soon as they elect a councillar for their area, the councillar moves to the suburbs, away from the townships & then they (the people from the townships) never see them again. This is just wrong. I think Poepies had the best answer so far. I won't even bother with mine. Black, white, black, white....eish. Wish I had a magic wand to change everybody's complexion to tan brown. Brown goes quite nicely with all colours....ohhhhh, maybe that's why some of my light skinned cousins, like to fry themselves in the oven of South African summer. Wakakakakakakaka!! OK, jokes aside. Zim, everybody tends to generalise every so now and then. It's human nature. Don't let it upset you as much as it does. WRRR sometimes refer to European half and half's, but that's wrrr for you. Doesn't bother me and I'm not gonna try and convince him to see me otherwise. He has his views and opinions and he has a right to air them. Come on man, be a happy people like me! |
