St John's- Newfoundland. How is it?

Is anyone from there? Has anyone been there? I'm happen to be in Canada and in my next future i may stay here for sometime, but i want to move from my current place (Winnipeg). I've heard good things about St. John's, i like crowded and party places, and i like the ocean. Do they have jobs in the environment field?
