Travel Info What is your opinion of Party Cove at Lake of the Ozarks, MO? Travel Tips totally in agreement with treehead. its a place for trashy people to 'get wild'. had a boyfriend once who was a 'regular' so unfortunately (didn't want to look like a party pooper)i've been plenty. i'm not a prude and can get pretty wild, but this place is totally disgusting! you better have a potty on your boat, or you will have to enter a GIANT toilet, full of pi$$, poo, vomit and god knows what else. great place for rich old perverts to flash their mini yachts and play 'bigshot'. last time i was there got in a fight with one of them after he drunkenly crashed into our boat, then tried to blame us. its basically like 'spring break, cancun' but most of the people are not appealing in the slightest. i hear they sell DVD's now, similar to girls gone wild. Others Looks like fun if you are young and single and attractive. Or if you are a dirty old man. Its a good place if you like to hang out with white trash and get drunk on a boat and maybe see some 45 year old woman flash her boobs at you. It's not all it's cracked up to be. The legends and stories are much more exciting than actually going. I know. I went. The lure of a party environment, hedonism, and such were just too much to keep me away. Basically, when you arrive at Party Cove, you tie your boat up to everyone else's, and you make this giant "island" of boats. Women will walk topless from one boat to another, and men will offer them alcoholic drinks if they find the women desirable. Men get drunk and just start peeing right into the lake...it's disgusting to actually think about getting INTO the water anywhere near party cove. The experience was awful. There was some fun-to-look-at eye candy, but when I actually thought about trying to hook up with one, I thought to myself, "Do I really want to hook up with someone who will hook up with me just cuz I gave her a beer?" And I thought better of it. I'm a big fan of Lake of the Ozarks. I know that Party Cove appeals to a lot of people. I'm not one of them. I don't begrudge Party Cove, and I think it contributes to the local economy quite a bit...but this writer will not be returning to Party Cove again. Play on! |
