Gas turned off?

I have a friend that is an elderly lady that has had their gas turned off. Does anyone know of an organization that will aid them with money to have it turn back on? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Depending on where she lives she can contact the county. Pretty much every county has some sort of program to help with things like this.

Depends on what state you live in. Check with your local Department of Job and Family Services for a start. Then proceed to your Metropolitan Housing Authority. Either of these offices should be able to help you or direct you to the proper place to get said help.

I thought it was illegal to have your gas switched off, its an essential service surely!
