What is wrong with st. louis south city? |
Travel Info I am not from st. louis but I want to move there. I have visited once. From what I remember, some ( a little part) of the north city was in terrible condition. We didn't see the south city but from what I heard it isn't any better than the north city. Is this true? If so are the st. louis city area's really that bad? Travel Tips south is better than north. north & east are the hood, and in pretty bad condition in some places. most of the shooting occur in east or north. west of the city is the best/safest area. Others well i live in bellfontaine neighbors in st louis it all depends were u move either in north or south city some parts are really good and vice versa The rule in south city is stay away from the areas with streets named after states and indians. In the city stay West of Grand Avenue and ideally west of Kingshighway between I-55 and I-64. Cental West End from Grand to Kingshighway and between I-64 to Delmar interesting and unusual demographics - very rich and very poor in same neighborhoods. Great architecture in the buildings, great restaurants, but crime is a problem in the area - hence a lot of gated streets / neighborhoods and private security. You'll have a better experience when you move into the suburbs to the south and especially to the west. Lifelong resident theret is bad influence everywhere. you have to live here to know if STL is bad or good. I love STL. There are shootings, killings or robbery anywhere you go no matter what city. |
