Travel Info When you make hotel and flight reservations, do you have to pay up front or is there a deposit??? Please help because I need to make reservations but I don't know if I can just pay when I get there or not. Thanks in advance for those who try to help. Travel Tips I don't know about flight reservations, but to reserve a hotel room, most hotels need a credit card on file, but won't charge until you arrive. Then if you want to pay another way, you can and they won't charge your card. Others i would ask the company you're dealing with. sometimes they require a deposit sometimes they don't. no most if not all require at least a deposit to hold the space for you otherwise you have people calling and reserving never showing up and the hotel etc. loses money Flight - you need a credit card. Usually airlines will allow you a 24 hour hold at least and then they will charge your credit card. Hotels - you will need a credit card to hold the room. Upon arrival, you will have the option of paying for the room with that credit card or by some other means. With airlines make sure you're getting what you want. Airlines charge up to $75 to change a ticket. if you do it on the internet, you pay with your credit card in advance. Different companies, different policies. Most of them (lodging) will ask for a 50% deposit. For flights, you should pay in advance Have a great trip ! |
