The meters only need to be filled between 7am-6pm on weekdays. 6pm-7am and weekends parking on the street is completely free. First come, first serve though. Others It depends where you're talking about. In the city, maybe... but there are streets everywhere that you could park your car. In the suburbs, there are commuter parking lots everywhere.
