Travel Info What do you think of when you think of st. louis? Travel Tips The Best Baseball City in America (Go Cardinals, reigning World Series Champs), good blues music, Nelly and Italian food on the Hill....Also as someone who lives in the City of St. Louis, the whole most dangerous City thing is BS! Others Ding, Ding, Ding went the Trolley, the Arch and Nelly. Oops, the bell went ding, ding, ding and the trolley went clang, clang, clang. # 1 in CRIME in the good old U.S.A. st. louis rams, horns, football..... FOOD!!!! and blues!, down home cooking, greens, ribs, and did I mention food? I have a cousin who lives there, so I think of her... and that trolley/bell song. I also think of Chicago... I always pictured St. Louis to look like Chicago. Oh, and hot dogs! Maybe that's Chicago again... I'm confused... Nevermind. I think of my Great Uncle Keith and Aunt Rosie (rest her soul). Aunt Rosie made the best authentic Italian pasta I've ever eaten. My Uncle Keith is my grandma's brother. Aunt Rosie was a first generation US citizen - her parents immigrated to St. Louis from Italy and only spoke Italian. Aunt Rosie loved to cook and loved even more to feed us and see us eat a lot. She pinched our cheeks when we were little and spoke to us in Italian, which we never did understand, but she made it sound very nice. Uncle Keith and Aunt Rosie lived in St. Louis when I was a child and we used to look forward to our visits with them. |
