What is fun to do in saint louis i am going there for spring break? |
Travel Info or just give me a website Travel Tips I've lived in St Louis for most of my life. Of course, there's the Gateway Arch. It costs about $10 to go up in, and is pretty iconic. While downtown, you can visit Washington Ave. There are plenty of upscaley restaurants and clubs to visit down there. Don't miss Forest Park and the stuff inside! Forest Park is the site of the 1904 World's Fair and has recently been renovated. There you will find the St Louis Art Museum, the History Museum, the Jewel Box, the World Famous *FREE* St Louis Zoo --the zoo is great. Also try and visit the Delmar Loop. There's plenty of nice unique shops, restaurants, and clubs lining the street there. Also the walk of fame with stars for every famous St Louis celebrity. You can also visit the Central West End. An older neighborhood with good restaraunts, clubs, etc. Go to the City Museum for sure. It's a maze of junk welded together that you can crawl through. Cool for sure! Then there's Ted Drewe's Frozen custard. There's the Anheuser Busch brewery tour is free. There's also Old Union Station, which has been converted into a mall. Some good restaurants: 1. Blueberry Hill -- Chuck Berry plays here quite a bit. He's a St Louis Native. This is on the Delmar Loop. Nice Decor, too. 2. Rigazi's -- Go here for lunch sometime. They have a steam-table of great Italian food for a cheap price. (Dinner's more expensive). 3. Kaldi's -- The best coffeehouse in St Louis. The MetroLink connects the Airport to the Delmar Loop to downtown. It might be useful for getting around at a cheaper price. (Definitely not your sole means of transport, though). Use Google and you can find anything I talk about above. Others Look up the city's tourism bureau or convention bureau or call them. They usually are very knowledgeable and helpful. Have a great time!!! haha! you'll only have fun if you have friends around to hang out with. not much to do there, except cardinal baseball, but that doesn't start till after spring break. try checking out the riverfront times online. maybe you can find a cool band to listen to. also, try www.skitzorock.com There is alot to do, and fun. Check out the following sites. www.nps.gov/jeff www.explorestlouis.com www.stlouis.missouri.org www.cahokiamounds.com the landing is nice but be careful in st. louis after dark don't go alone don't relay on public transportation we have it but it don't run good and totally quits around 11pm soulard is fun but only around mardi gras I live here wish I didn't. |
