Gateway arch?

Travel Tips
The structure itself is referred to as the Gateway Arch. The park area it sits on is called the Jefferson National Expansion Memorial. Underneath the Arch (underground, actually) is a museum called the Museum of Westward Expansion. Source(s): http://www.nps.gov/jeff/index.htm...

Going out on a limb here, but The Gateway Arch.

The Arch is what I have always called it and I have lived in St. Louis for my entire life.
The St. Louis Arch.
The "gateway" is referred to as the gateway westward. St. Louis was a gathering place as a River City, like a hub for making an exodus to western territory, all the way to the Gold Coast/California. It makes for a great landmark, and the man who designed it was a genius. You should read up on it. Better yet take a ride up the leg of the arch, whoa, what a ride. It's a bit scary though.
