St; Louis- how is it living there?

Travel Tips
Depends on what part. I live on the outskirts which is okay.
St. Louis and well, the city it self is very consevitive. Fashion is well don't exist. There is alot of violence and wrong doing. St. Louis is very judgemental and work is hard to find. Places to live are expensive and don't offer much. Traffic sucks. You got alot of hicks with missing teeth and perverts. there are hardly anyplaces to go out. To here live music its usually cover bands and then there are a few clubs that play orignial stuff punk, rock, metal. But most play country. There are a few dance clubs in downtown on Washinton Street where the college kids go, they play different stuff alot of rap, house and techno.

There isn't a whole lot to do in St. Louis. Theres the Arch, City Musium (which is a big play area pretty cool but expensive) science musiem, zoo but thats about it.

Others
Saint Louis is a nice city to live in, but I will admit there are times where I question my safety after dark. The problem with the city, in my opinion, is poor leadership, for yes improvement is taking place, but it is slow in alot of areas. The city is trying hard to improve its image and reputation, but they are still some ways to go.

Diversity here is okay. Saint Louis is home to some ranked colleges, so the diversity the city has is coming from those places. Ethnic resteraunts are starting to pop up and so are condos in the downtown area. There are strange people here, so be aware of your surroundings, and if you ever use the Metro Link or bus after dark, make sure you are not alone.

It has a great art museum, though. I have been to some exhibits over the summer and was impressed.
i have visited several times, and i have moved to attend a university
Another perspective. STL is easy to get around(Traffic), and the people are friendly. The other side is lack of good employment. STL is constantly losing big companies. Also, besides the Hill or a few spotty restaraunts, try finding a Italian Beef/Sausage/Hot Dog Stand, or all night full service restaraunts. Trust me, it will never compare to Chicago!
I like in the Metro East area, and I am very happy with St. Louis life. The weather is constantly changing. We definitely have 4 distinct seasons! The cost of living is fairly low. Cultural institutions abound in St. Louis. In Forest Park alone, you鈥檒l find the Saint Louis Zoo, Saint Louis Art Museum, Missouri History Museum, Saint Louis Science Center, the Municipal Opera, and more. I love baseball, and, well, we all know how well that worked out for us this year!
It all depends on which part that you live in
Well, overall I have no plans on moving. However, I am finding myself a little bored. Whenever I go on a date or want to take my kids out, it seem to be the same old same old. Not sure if I am just that boring myself or if the city really has nothing to offer it regular citizens(meaning the main focus in on touristy type attractions). It may be a little of both.
