What will happen if state take over st.louis public schools? |
Travel Info like how can dis law affect us students will the take out our vaction will they make us go 2 school laa year round Travel Tips I really don't know what is going to happen with the state taking over the school. On one hand it is a good idea there has been to much coruption and the school board has not been doing their jobs. On the other hand do we really want the schools run by the state? I don't think they are going to make you go to school all year round they might try cycles, like they do out in St. Charles but, you will still get breaks and vacations. I also worry about the the state eliminating more programs such as art and music since funds are so tight. I would expect them to hire respectful people for the new positions and I would hope that the state would return power to the city once they have gotten the school district back on it's feet. I also know that the state will be expecting students to improve their MAP test scores (I do not agree with this test) since they are the ones that adimistor it and use the results to give out tax dollars to the district. Either way it is a mess and we need to be thinking about the best interest of the students and how can the public and state give the students the best educations possible. Hope this helps.
