Any WW2 tanks, planes or helicopters around STL? |
Travel Info My team needs photos for press. Looking to pose maybe on WW2 military equipment. or any other time period milatry equipment. is there any around St. Louis? I know theres a tank @ Marine IL and a helicopter out in Colinsville.... anything else??? (not the Jefferson Barracks) Travel Tips Wow very good question! This might sound dumb but, try contacting the Museum of Transportaion. If they do not have one I am sure that they know where one is since they are run by the parks department. Here is the website: http://www.museumoftransport.org... They are really nice people, I have had to email them before. I would really try with the St. Louis Parks they might have some or know where to go from there. Also try contacting the St. Louis visitiors center they can get you that info fast! Call or email them I am sure you will have an answer in no time. I contact them for several things and they are always willing to help. Do you know anyone that works at Scott Airforce base? Do they have any can they get you on base if they do? I know there is a tank in Florissant next to Fritzs Custard, on Washington I do not know if it is WWII, it looks like it and there is a memorial there and some flags. If you contact the Florissant Parks or City Hall I am sure they can give you a lot more detail on it. http://www.florissantmo.com At least this gives you some ideas on where to find one. I hope this helps! Others Try the Military Vehicle Preservation Association, located in Independence, Missouri. Here is some information about the organization.
