Other Travel Tips well if you like drinking there is the landing, also soulard is pretty neat real old town drunks! If you're old enough, check out the Budweiser Brewery in Soulard (just south of downtown on I-55). You get a free tour and even a couple free samples per tour. And with no limit on tours per day, it makes for an interesting day lol. The Zoo, best in the country behind the San Diego Zoo. The Arch is definately a must. If you got kiddies, also check out Grant's Farm (South City). Forest Park (2nd largest city park in the US behind Central Park in NY) has the Art Museum as well. Lots to do here. There really is If travelling with kids, the City Museum is a must! Also, check out the Science Center, Grants Farm and Magic House. If not with kids, check out the brewery tours and the landing. Also might want to visit the Botanical Gardens, Busch Stadium, the Art Museum, the Missouri History Museum, and Powell Symphony Hall. The good news is that most of it is fairly close together and a lot of it is free! I love the landing!! i have a few the zoo(free) the science center(free) the art museum(free) also try the city museum-its not free(it is for kids 2 and younger) but there is a LOT to do and a lot to see in it. if you shell out an xtra $6 per person you can see the world aquairium which has stingrays, sea turtles, sharks --just to name a few. advice on that though its something that takes more then an hour or two to see all of everything there if you are going in the summer and you like to see plays, check out the muny. if u get there a bit before the show u can get free seats--there not the best but its free(otherwise u have to buy tickets) while youre in town, check out the cards if they are in town...the new ball bark is awesome and depending on where u sit u get a great view of downtown |
