What are some good family activities we can do in St Louis within walking distance from the Metrolink? |
Travel Info We will be doing the Arch and going to Busch Stadium. We have been to Union Station, and are thinking about the zoo/science center in Forest Park. We are looking for anything farther out from downtown that may be fun. We have a 5 year old son with us, and we will be in the area this weekend (5/25-5/27), and looking for some new things to do, from shopping to entertainment, or anything else we may find fun. Also in Forest Park is the Art Museum, History Museum and the Muny Opera (usually musical plays like Grease). Don't forget to see what there is to do Soulard this weekend. Other Travel Tips There is really too much to list here, but you will be in town for Rib America Festival by the Soldiers Monument at Market and Tucker Streets. They have awesome food and great bands. http://www.ribamerica.com/stlouis.html... Have fun!! You could take the MetroLink to the Delmar Loop. Lots of cool shops and restaurants... And you could take it to the St. Louis Galleria... It's a nice shopping mall. And you could take it to Clayton and check out downtown Clayton. There are some shops and restaurants down there, too. I'd recommend The City Museum. It's downtown and should not be missed. You won't find anything like it anywhere. Check out their website. It should be nice weather this weekend, so plan on spending time in both the indoor and outdoor areas. Make sure you wear sneakers or sturdy sandals - no flip flops - you'll regret it otherwise. www.citymuseum.org I agree that City Museum is a must see. Your son might enjoy the Eugene Field House & Toy Museum. Grant's Farm is also a really fun place for kids to visit, with exotic animals & shows & Cyldesdale horses that you can see up close, but it's nowhere near the Metrolink line (although you can get there by bus).
