I leave for St. Louis tommorrow..? |
Travel Info and i'm staying close to Union Station. does anyone know if there is a mall there or what exactly Union Station is? i'm not sure... please help! Travel Tips Union Station used to be a train station....and it has been turned into a really nice mall full of shops and restaurants, with they Hyatt Regency hotel attached to it. Others there are malls everywhere There is a mall at Union Station, but it's not my favorite. I prefer St Louis Mills. It is large, and lots of things to do there. One of my favorites is the 2 level indoor go cart track. They also have an ice rink there, if you like ice skating. You can also catch the metrolink from Union Station, and take it around the city to the Arch/Riverfront, or many other places. Forest Park is a must. One of the best zoos in the country is there, and it's FREE!!! There are some things that charge at the zoo, but most exhibits are free. The St Louis Science Center is also in Forest Park, and has many great exhibits. Hope this helps! There is a mall at Union Station, but its not the best mall in the St. Louis area, but it is nice. There are several malls in the area a few include the Galleria, West County Mall, Crestwood Mall, South County Mall, and St. Louis Mills. The Mills is a really cool place to go, tons of shops and food and a full size ice rink (indoors) and a bowling alley and a NASCAR store that you can race cars in, its a lot of fun. Other than malls there are tons of things to do in the St. Louis area, if you like shopping go shopping at the University City Loop (the Loop to a St. Louisian) there are so many unique stores there and great food at Fitz's and Blueberry Hill. Go to Forest Park and go to the Zoo, the Science Center, the Art Museum, rent a paddle boat at the Boathouse. Go to the Arch, catch a baseball game at Busch Stadium if the Cardinals are in town. Go to Grant's Farm. Have fun on your trip to our wonderful city!! Yes, Union Station is a mall.It used to be a train station. It has about 40 shops and over 10 restaurants. For More info visit:www.stlouisunionstation.... www.stlouisunionstation.com Union Station is a mall, but it's not really a real mall when you think of malls... It doesn't have all the national chains nor is it anchored by a major department store... The best mall for you to go to, if you don't have a car, is the St. Louis Galleria. You can take MetroLink there (there's a stop at Union Station). Take the Shrewsbury line to the Galleria Parkway stop and walk under the highway to the Galleria... Great mall with a lot of upscale shops and anchored by a Macy's, Mark Shale and Dillards. If you have a car, you might want to check out West County Mall. That's at I-270 and Manchester Rd. (from Union Station: I-64 West to I-270 South, get off at Manchester Rd. (SR 100) and go East. You'll see it on your right.) That's a nice mall with Penney's, Macy's, Nordstrom and Dick's Sporting Goods. Hope this helps. |
