St.Louis is known for BBQ like KC, and Memphis, but this weekend it is ALL St Louie. The best of the best will be here from around the country fighting it out, getting down, and dirty whipping out the finest most succulent BBQ, and sauces you can sink your teeth into. Being a beer city You can wash those BBQ samples down with a locally made cold one. There will also be live music for Your listening pleasure. http://www.ribamerica.com/st_louis_main... Others I don't think there is anything besides baseball games! You can go the Thestlouispostdispatch.com and go to events and they give a pretty good idea of what is going on in the area for events. Rib America Festival... It's a great time. You should go. http://www.ribamerica.com/stlouis.html... Rib America is AWESOME!!!! I will be going again this weekend. They have some great bands (Pat Benatar, Blue Oyster Cult, Molly Hatchet, Head East are just a few) There is also the the "Brew and Q" at the Schlafly Brewery this weekend (check out thier website). We are also going to the new Cabela's store at The Mills. I don't think there's anything specific other than that Rib festival the people before me were talking about but either way, you won't be bored in this city! =o) There's always something to do & somewhere to go. A few suggestions could be to pop in for a Cardinal's game ('06 WS Champs! Heck yea!), go on the fun tour at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, check out the Arch, City Museum, Forest Park, Casinos, University City (aka U-City or The Loop), Laclede's Landing (aka The Landing) or even travel over to the "east side" in Sauget, IL. They have a few strip clubs there if you're into that. If so then I highly suggest the Penthouse. It's classy. Some friends of mine took me there & even though I'm completely straight, I liked it a lot. That's gotta say something! hehehe ;o) |
