What to do in St. Louis, Missouri?

Travel Info
Me n my friend stacy r wantin to go somwhere 4th of july weekend. say leave here the 3rd and stay till the 8th. we wanted to go to panama city beach but it be too expensive. St. Louis is like 3 1/2 hrs from us. Well we didnt know what to do in St. Louis except 6 flags. Are there any good clubs there or what? The thing is though I am 22 and she is only 20. So she can not go to a 21 year old n over club of course. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. If you guys have any other suggestions for cheap vacation spots that would be great! Our budget is 200 and not to exceed over 300 possibly 400 dollars. We're also lookin at Cincinnati, Ohio but idk whats down there. Sorry for the ramblin. thanks!

Travel Tips
If your budget is only $400 for the week for both of you, you are going to have tough time staying in the city for 5 days and pay for hotels, food, gas, and attractions. You might be able to do $400 for each of you.

Hotel in a safe area,including tax - 5 days X $50 = $250.00
Gas (trip down, back, during stay) 3 tanks X $45 = $135.00
Food (3 meals X 2 people X5 days) 30 meals X $7=$210.00

This is the bare minimum and it already totals $595.00 and I haven't added in the cost to get into any attractions, snacks, or any incidentals. If this is over your budget then you might want to cut back the number of days for your trip to meet your budget. I'd recommend the Motel 6 or Oak Tree in on I-55 at Lindbergh Blvd. - safe area, easy access to interstates to get to attractions, near shopping center, and lots of restaurants in the area.

Plenty of free things to see and do :
- Anheuser-Busch Brewery Tour
- Grant's Farm
(following are all located in Forest Park)
- Zoo
- Art Museum
- Science Center
- The Jewel Box
- Historical Museum

Pay:
- Arch (about $5 for trip to top and worth it)
- Six Flags (about $35 for adult ticket)
- City Museum (about $15 per ticket)
- Missouri Botanical Gardens (about $10 per person)
- The Muny (outdoor musical theater in Forest Park)
- Meramec Caverns (about 50 mi W of St. Louis and about $7 entrance, but really a great way to spend the day)

There are no real underage clubs but the Pagent in the Delmar Loop has concerts/performances where you can attend as long as you remain in the <21 area.

There's the arch, the zoo, the Science Center, a magic house, a butterfly place, you can ride the Metro Link, lots of shopping (for any budget!), fine dining and cheaper food as well. I recommend India Palace by the airport. Fine and unique food at surprisingly good prices considering. (Lunch buffet is even a better deal!) Website can be found by looking for India Palace near St. Louis Airport. Also the Old Spaghetti Factory down town by the arch is very reasonable and kind of fun. There are cruises on the Mississippi and carriage rides by the arch as well.
Branson, Mo. is a very fun place to visit and motels there are cheap. Branson Landing is new and free (unless you buy stuff in the stores) and a neat place to go at night. Celebration City there is pretty cheap and fun. Of course, Silver Dollar City is great, but kind of pricey if you don't plan to go back soon this year. (Season passes are the best deal.)
Motels in both areas have coupon books in them. Always look for the place you're going to first, because it's usually in there! Have fun!
We vacation in both areas often on really tight budgets!

check out the arch. some malls are union station and the galleria. the six flags there is awsome but no superman
If you like blues music it is a great place to go. The Soulard area is great and full of quaint bars where the music is great. some of the bars in that area: Great Grizzly Bear, 1860 Saloon, Mike and Mins.

Great resturant to eat at is Tuckers.

But on that budget you won't get far.
