St. Louis or St. Louie?

There is a local steak house commercial in my area that debates whether locals say St. Louie or St. Louis. Im dying to know which pronunciation locals use!!!!

I'm born & raised in St. Louis & I've never heard anyone refer to it as "St. Louie" unless in song or jokingly. If someone asked me where I was from, I would never answer "St. Louie." Thanks to Nelly, many refer to this town as "the Lou."
I'm dying to know where there is a steakhouse debating the pronunciation of this fine city!

St Louis. And yes, you hear ol' St Lou, those are just old terms.

People that say St. Louie do it in jest.
Both are correct. I perfer St. Louie but some people perfer St. Louis. It just depends on where you live, or which you perfer.

NO ONE says St. Louie, unless you're from out of town, of course. That's how we spot the tourists.
So, no, St. Louie is never used around here -- it's blasphemy.
