Creve Couer, MO? |
Travel Info Can anyone tell me about the safety and price level of that area and how far is it from Anheuser-Busch or Boeing in St. Louis? Travel Tips Creve Couer is a very nice community. Not the most expensive area, there are adjacent communities that are a lot more "upper crust" ... i.e. expensive, but CC is a very nice upper middle class suburb. It is only about 15-20 miles to A-B, but A-B is downtown so you'll be in traffic to get there. Boeing is a bit closer, 10-15 miles away around to the top of beltway. The area is served by either Parkway or Pattonville School district, which both have very good schools (I taught in Pattonville). There are also great doctors and hosptials nearby. I loved it there. Others It is very pricey to live and it is about 25 min from anheuser busch but very close to boeing It's a "closed community" meaning that their growth has slowed down. They aren't building new subdivsions, so called "land-locked." But it's a nice area. Homes are older (over 15 years generally) and very pricey. Parkway Schools in most areas. Traffic to AB or Boeing during rush hour would be obnioxous! But in true, living anyhere west of AB or Boeing, traffic is difficult during rush hour. Don't get me wrong, it's a great place to live, and depending where you are coming from, it may not seem expensive to you. But it is one of the more elite suburbs in the metro area. Creve Couer nice one of the nicer communities outside of saint Louis, homes are probably in the mid to late 200's. Location wise it's minutes from I 270 and that is maybe 20-30 minutes from Boeing and AB if you are talking about the headquarters located near Soulard by I55 then you are looking anywhere from 45-1 hour and 15 minutes depending on the route you take. |
