The Magic House in St. Louis? |
Travel Info My sister's family is going on a vaction and I was wondering if this place would be fun for her teenage daughter...it says for kids, but it should be a creative place..shes only 13....If u have been please share what's there and you opinion of the place....Thnx! Travel Tips I live in St. Louis...... I would say that the city museum....no not the St.Louis museum would be more fun for a 13 year old. Oh no it is a very very interesting place to go aannnnnnd it is open late on fridays and saturdays. So the kids will get the feeling they are like the grown ups and get to stay out late...LOL Then after(or before, depending what time you decide to go) that you can go to Fitz's which is in the U City Loop and treat them to a good old fashioned rootbeer float. It is a resturant that also makes soda. They even give ya freee refills. The rootbeer and cream soda are yuuuuuuuuuuuuuummmmmmmy. And they have diet rootbeer and cream soda as well. I mention diet cause I have to watch my tummy....hee hee Another idea for during the day would be Grant's Farm. It was a very neat place and there is a small petting zoo and some shows for all ages.ans well as getting to ride on a big cart to take a tour through the farm prior to getting to the petting zoo. Others Scott is right: City Museum is great if you are 13 or 53. For kids though, the Zoo, Butterfly Museum and Science Center are also terrific. There are many great places here for both kids and adults. STL is a big, sprawled out town, so you may have to do some driving, especially if you want to visit caves, wineries or lakes. STL resident since 8/31/05. Yep the 2 pple before me are rite. the Magic House is to "babyfied" lol. But the st. louis City Museum is great for kids of all ages. They have a 3 story slide, the World Aquarium(really cool), and of course the spectacular climbing thing that you can explore.(2 cool to describe). Only thing it can be a little pricey. it's like $15 per person, but it's worth it!! in the evening there is also events && i think a club for adults. yes it is cool, lol www.citymuseum.org Libbay 鈾? The magic house is a fun place and neat experience, but the city museum might be better for a teenager and is close to the arch which would be fun if they have never done that. Go out to lunch on the landing at the Old spaghetti factory-yummy and not to pricey! The Zoo, Science Center, Butterfly House etc are great things to experience in STL and a lot of stuff is FREE! Good luck! I think a 13 year old and her friends would like the Magic House, it depends on the kids. If I had a 13 year old I would think about the City Museum, the Zoo or Science Center. Don't forget Six Flags! It's just a half hour drive West out Highway 44. One price gets you in for rides and Hurricane Harbor water park! It's a fun place for all ages. In the summer, they build this HUGE sand castle and you can build one too. |
