How far is it from swansea train station to caswell bay along the coastal path? |
Travel Info looking really for the amount of miles from the train station in swansea to caswell bay along the mumbles coastal path and back Travel Tips about 6 miles each way I think Others hi i live in swansea.first get a bus from outside train station to the quadrant bus station.then you want either the number 37 bus at 10 past the hr i believe that takes you to limeslade-mumbles (this bus takes about 45 mins to get there) theres a little cafe where you get off and the footpath is to the right of that.apsolutly stunning scenery and well worth it caswell bay always been my favourite bay.if you want a more direct bus you need number 2 or 2 a that will take you to mumbles in about 20 mins,but you have to follow the coast round from there.if walking directly from train station to caswell this may well take you about 2 hrs,if thats the case you head for the prom on sea front and again follow coast round. if i can be any further help e mail me at fairy_gdmthr@yahoo.co.uk.have a nice time here From the train station to Caswell i would say is approximately 8 miles.I am basing this on the distance from the leisure centre to Mumbles which is approx.6 miles. I think it`s a fair assumption that your journey would add at least 2 miles to this,maybe a little more. I agree with the previous poster - along the coast from Swansea city centre I'd say it's about 6 miles to Mumbles. Then maybe 3 or 4 more to get to Caswell. I have never walked it all in one go, but it is a lovely walk, especially from Mumbles onwards. But for optimal results I would recommend you get the bus to Mumbles (the bus will say "Oystermouth Bus Station" on the front I think) and walk from there. The coastal path from the city centre is totally flat, however from Mumbles onwards there are cliff paths, some of which are quite steep. |
