My husband and I leave in 48 hours for Sydney Australia, what are some "must do" restaurants, etc? |
Travel Info I am trying to make a list of all the places for us to see. I have a pretty good list going on, but I would like to hear about some stuff from the locols. Some hot spots that most people might not find online. Restaurants mostly, but maybe some nice bars. My husband and I dont really like to party like 18 year olds, but I would like to find a nice bar to get a drink and maybe do some dancing. Also, is there a place that has slow dancing? Not like piano music, but music that you can just slow dance to. ummmm any other info would be great. We will be there for 10 days. Also, if we bring our camera are we going to be able to plug it into your outlets (to charge it)? Or will we need a converter and if so how much do they run? Travel Tips As soon as you arrive, get a copy of the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide. It is available in bookshops and newsagents, you'll probably find one at the airport. This lists all the good restaurants and rates them. The top rating ones will be expensive but you will have a memorable meal. The cheaper ones are good too - they have to be to get a mention. If you are coming from the USA you will need adaptors for all your electrical appliances. The USA is 110v and 60hz while Australia is 240v and 50hz. Others The Darling Harbor Diner Cruise is something not to be missed Climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge Taronga Zoo Sydney Museum Piccadilly Square Go to Doyles Restaurant on the Wharf for some top seafood. They used to have a runabout leaving from Circular Quay every so often at lunchtime to take u out there. Ask them about it when u ring up to book or go online at www.doyles.com.au |
