Travel Info when does schools open in australia... I would study in sydney but I don't want to lost a scolastic year... Here in Italy schools open on september... Travel Tips G'day, Are you asking about high schools or university? High schools academic year starts in January and ends in December. University has 2 semesters and for some courses you may start either beginning of the year or mid-year. Hope this helps.
