Any good advice for a trip to sydney and gold coast on May 2007? |
Travel Info i will be going to sydney and gold coast for a vacation from 1 may 2007 until 7 May 2007. i will spend 3 days in gold coast and 3 days in sydney 1. how is the weather during that period? what types of clothes should i bring? 2. if my accomodation budget is AUS120 per room per night, where is better off to stay, sydney or gold coast? (i need to decide wether to stay the day-3 in gold coast and go to sydney on day-4 morning or go to sydney on the day-3 evening) 3. should i travel by public transport or rent a car in gold coast? i plan to go to 2 of the theme parks there any other advice are welcome. TQ Travel Tips Hi, I live on the Gold Coast and during May it is really coming into our winter so it is getting cold. I guess it depends where you're coming from though - if you are coming from England you will probably still think its quite warm!! If you get some last minute deals over the web (can normally be booked a month in advance) you will be able to get a good hotel at that rate. A few weeks ago I stayed 2 nights at a hotel in Surfers Paradise for $120 per night, and its normally $280. If you are going to the theme parks, you may as well take public transport, as if you purchase your tickets from the bus driver (for the theme parks) it will give you free travel for the day, there and back, Others the weather will be warmer on gold coast at this time of year.you will get better value for your money in a hotel room there as well.i think its more fun to use public transport.they do take you to all the theme parks.and if you are staying in gold coast.most things are walking distance.i am from sydney.love to holiday in queensland.sydney has lots to offer too.but it is slightly more expensive.hope you have lots of fun . The weather in Sydney in early may is wet and average temps of around 19 degrees Celcius during the day!! So depending what weather your used to (i mean if you live in canada or somewhere that gets cold weather ( 18 degree days dont count, thats only cold if your used to Aus weather) so you decide what clothes you need based on average temps of 19 degrees or so !!! (gold coast about 23 degrees) The gold coast is warmer and more expensive i think for Accomodation! I dont think you should only spend three Nights in the Gold Coast then two of those days go to theme Parks-waste of time if you ask me!! |
