Travel Tips Grafton is 600km straight up the highway and will take you six hours of driving plus fuel/food stops. It is a good road and a divided road for more than two thirds of it. If you are looking for places to stay in Grafton, there are some excellent pubs. I haven't stayed in Grafton as I only live 140km away but I have had lunch many times at the pub on the river. Others About 7 hours. Pub where? To give you an idea the Premier Bus take around 9 - 10 hours, depending on whether one or two 30 minute meal breaks. RE staying at pubs, depends on where you are want to stay - Grafton, Sydney or points in between. While pubs are fine if you plan spending a lot of time at the bar, when not and considering cost elsewhere may be cheaper. Came back on Premier bus last weekend. Ooh, six or even seven hours is very optimistic. It took me almost nine (with two rest stops) to get as far as Coffs. The Pacific Highway is a vile death trap (single track a lot of the way with occasional overtaking lanes) and the semis and B-doubles are out to kill you. I'd allow nine, definitely. Sorry, can't help with pubs though. |
