What would be the cheapest option of travel from Brisbane to Melbourne via sydney? |
Travel Info We are 2 budget traveller friends and have 7 days in Australia we land in Brisbane on 26/04/07 and it would be nice if someone adviced on how many days we should spend in which city Travel Tips It really depends what you guys are into. If you like hot weather, swimming and being casual, then spend more time in Brizzy. Then get a bus (Greyhound) to Sydney if you want to save money, but as its about a 10-12hour trip, you'll lose some time. Sydney is the biggest of the 3 with warm-hot weather and lots to see and do, especially shopping, beach, mountains, cruising etc. Then you could get a bus to Melb. about 8-9hours away. Melbourne is a trendy, mediteranean style city with mild-warm weather. Very beautiful, great alfresco dining and night-life. To save time, you can catch a plane, try www.jetstar.com.au, www.qantas.com.au, www.virginblue.com Good luck and have fun!! Others You are not going to see much in three cities in seven days. That would be like having seven days to see Los Angeles, Chicago and New York. On those time constraints, fly. The bus is often the cheapest option put you will spend a long uncomfortable night on the road. Look up the airlines at the addresses already given and compare prices. Be flexible in travel times and you can get some bargains. Of the three, Virgin and Jetstar are cheaper than QANTAS. Thumb power does the trick, and very cheap. |
