Anything wrong with this logic? Tony looked at me like I had two heads and neither had a brain.? |
Travel Info On a visit to Sydney, New South Wales, Australia I was interviewed on 2KY radio station by late-night announcer Tony Langshaw. He asked me how I arrived in Sydney? I told him I had two choices, ship or plane. By ship would have taken two weeks; by plane only two days. I figured that if the ship sank half way over... I'd have to swin for one 'week'. That would be kinda rough. However, if the plane went down halfway over, I'd only have to swim for one 'day'. Tony looked at me like I had two heads. I can't find anything wrong in that logic. Tony said, "I think Jay has a little Irish in him!" Travel Tips No - you DO NOT have two heads. if you have no brain - then it dosn't matter how many head you have. Hmmm, are you blonde by any chance? ROTFL - good on you, mate! Others Tony is right. Half way is half way, regardless of how long it took to do the first half. Tony is wrong, you have a lot of Irish in you. Hey yahoo, are you serious? well you didn't give us all the facts. where did you come from? it is very possible that half way by plane is land and not sea. in which case you didn't account for the amount of walking involved before you get to swimming. See, Tony is a smart cookie and this is why he looked at you like that. It's a joke right? Cause I laughed my head off. Seriously who can swim for a full week in shark infested water? Also do you think anyone could survive a plane crashing into water near Sydney... oh wait, isn't there a show like that??? Hahahahahahahaha. This is sooooo funny. I'm laughing so hard! Hahahaha! ok The problem that you don't seem to be able to see is this.... Ships are very slow, that's why it takes so long to get anywhere on a ship if the distance is a big distance. Planes are very fast, that's why you don't have to travel nearly as long as you would in a ship. But the halfway distance between Point A and Point B remains the same. Just because you're travelling in a faster doesn't mean the distance in kilometres or miles becomes shorter. 1 divided by 2 = 0.5 but also 30 divided by 60 = 0.5 Pick any number you want and divide it by its double and you'll always get a half. The speed makes no difference to the halfway point. Since it was late night radio, maybe you were tired and didn't quite know what you were saying but... HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! |
