Where can you find a koala in Sydney, Australia besides the zoo? |
Travel Info Where can you find a koala in Sydney, Australia besides the zoo? Travel Tips If you want to see Koalas in the wild, you'll have to travel into the country side, There is a place in Sydneys western suburbs called Featherdale wild life park, They only have Australian wild life, like, Koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, platatpus, Dingos, various snakes and other reptiles, and Australian birdlife. Worth a visit. The place is in all the tourist guides, and you'll find them if you google. Others sorry, you arent going to find a koala anywhere else but the zoo. in the wild, up on gumtree's, but not near the city....its very hard to spot them as they are endangered....... also they are nocturnal animals and are active at night, so during the day they are always sleeping.......... from Aus Sydney, I'm not completely sure, but there are a few National Park's in Australia that have koala habitats. I know for sure there is one in Phillip Island, Victoria. If you just want to see koalas in their natural habitat, go to an open range zoo. There's a place called Koala Park Sanctuary. See below. Lone Pine Preserve in suburban Brisbane is another good place, but quite far from Sydney. I saw them in the wild along the Great Ocean Road west of Melbourne, but again, a long way from Sydney. http://australian-animals.net/koala.htm... |
