What is it like getting hostel accomodation in Sydney over the Xmas / New Year period? |
Travel Info Does anyone have experience of this? Should you book in advance? Travel Tips every accommodation is hard at that time of the year - you would defiantly have to book in advance - the earlier the better ... especially for the central part of town if you plan on partying ! Get somewhere very close to where you plan to party because you would be waiting for a taxi for hours. Not sure what the buses are like though. so book now - cause knowing 'our' luck they always put up the tariff for Xmas and new years .... Others Yes, definitely book at least 6 weeks or 2 months in advance. HostelWorld.com let's you do that, and you can sort the hostels for Sydney by ratins to get the best one! Happy trails Philip http://www.hostelworld.com/findabed.php/... I would book up ASAP as all accommodation gets booked up far in advance for Christmas and new year. Definately book NOW!!!! I arrived in Sydney 10th January but it is advisable to book your first night in advance and tell them you may be staying longer. Get a backpackers book from the embassy and you should find a list of hostels. They can be found in Bondi, Manly and Kings Cross as well as Glebe. Manly is nicest but a little expensive. If you get work, try moving to a flat. |
