Driving around New South Wales?

can anybody advise is it easier to do self-drive or chauffered-driven?!
pls also provide "basic" driving instructions e.g toll fee etc..
from Sydney airport to Newcastle

chauffered-driven around NSW? Man, do you have money to burn or what? or may be you think New South Wales is a trip around Sydney.

The state of New South Wales alone is bigger than some countries in Euope!

Believe it or not, Australia DO have roads and signage IN ENGLISH!! I am sure you can navigate. Drive yourself - you will enjoy it!

Hi,there are no toll fees from Sydney to Newcastle.
I prefer traveling by coach because you go to all the good places and see more,but there are bad points as well.
Study maps where you intend to go,because NSW is a big State.
Basic driving,well we drive on the correct side of the road (left side)
there are signs to indicate what to do they are self explanatory.
speed is in KL/H
to convert KL to Miles X by 8 divide by 5

If you enjoy driving, the drive up the north coast is very pleasant and easy. it's also quicker and you get to decide when and where to stop.
The drive should take you just over 2 hours .

If you don't, you can always catch public transport ( I assume that's what you mean by chauffered).
The only toll you might have to pay depends on where you are in Sydney ( crossing the harbour bridge).

After we drove around Europe, we discovered that tolls here are in little dollars and negligible compared to other countries.
By chauffered driven, I assume you mean bus or train,

Try driving if you can, much more enjoyable, no tolls, Newcastle is about a three hour drive from Sydney and traffic from the airport to outer Sydney is the same as any large city, but once your free of the city mess, It's all good.

Cost of petrol (gas) Syney prices is about $1.20 per litre and steadily rising.
