What is the Cost of living in Sydney, AUSTRALIA? |
Travel Info i wish to know the cost of living in Sydany for a cuple in a average life style, i am from sri lanka. the cost of rent a house, utilities, personal needs, foods etc Travel Tips Hi there Here is an idea on how much living costs:::: http://www.international.mq.edu.au/macqu... http://www.uts.edu.au/about/sydney/food.... http://www.uts.edu.au/about/sydney/cost.... Others It depends if you wanna live in the city (cbd) or suburbs. Sydney can be expensive depending on your lifestyle. As a single i do spend : $300/week rent in the middle of the city $150/week grocery shopping $200/week misc. Sometimes i spend much more and other times less :) personal experience You can rent an apartment for just the both of you, in the outer suburbs for $A 200-300 per week, or else a double room in an apartment (shared with others) for less. You can always find work of some nature, could be casual ie not permanent, depending on your skills. Utilities costs will depend if you have you own place or rent a room off someone. Food costs are pretty reasonable if you go to the food markets in chinatown each week and shop for other basic stuff at supermarkets. You will find Sydney very expensive, plus right now it's extremely difficult to find property to rent. You'd be better off living outside the major cities if you can find work. Sydney is the most costliest city in Australia. the best thing to do is live in the outer suburbs for cheap rent but then you have transport costs to the city or the beaches to consider. Sharing is the way to go with rent. |
