Travel Info Where is a good place to fish in Sydney? Travel Tips Theres lots of good fishing in & around Sydney. Depends what kind of fishing u want to do?? If u wanna do beach fishing the basicly choose a beach! Freshwater fishing - there are heaps of rivers around Sydney unfortunately a lot of them are poluted. Try Taren point where Georges River meets Botany Bay to the south of Sydney or along Parramatta River near where it flows into the harbour is usually fairly clean. Theres also a few smallish rivers a bit further north running into Middle Harbour. Others about 1 hour south of the city... Wollongong. great place to fish somwhere where theres no crocks or sharks, on the roof of the opera house looks a good place as lomg as you can get a good foothold on the arch of that roof, you need some good weights and a good line brickies line should be ok.to throw it out, good luck catch one for me, heyy my dad is a fishing fanatic and we go fishing in the holidays. places that are good are: lane cove river, hunters hill, wollongong, sutherland shire and if you have time up to the entrance area. i suggest where there is water Hawkesbury River is also good. |
