Whats a good place to live in NSW besides Sydney? Somewhere with decent public transport and jobs?

Not too expensive and with a good lot of people?

Wollongong. Yes yes we have our fair share of bogans but you have that in Sydney too.
Wollongong is Australia's 9th largest city, its close to Sydney, we have nice beaches, a fantastic university and quick access to the south coast (which is paradise but has no jobs)
I found it easy to get a job here and there is decently priced housing close to the city center so you can ride a bike or walk.
PS. Don't trust anyone from Newcastle.

not go the east coast like newcastle its grow radily and it has nice peaceful ness and not water cuts and stuff and dnt go to the central coast

i live in NSW. I live in Lake Macquarie which is half way between Newcastle and Sydney. I go to school on the Central coast as well! Newcastle is really nice- good music/ social scene, Public Transport is pretty good- sometimes late but its readly available ( thats how i get around- i dont have a car) and relatively cheap + there is a great range of jobs. Retail and hospitalilty in abudence + heaps of corporations in Newcastle.

Parramatta, no maybe not I just support the footy team ! Camden, no I moved away from there ummmmm the North Shores best but a bit pricey, try the Gong !
i live in nsw and anywhere between gosford to newcsatle is good
You could try the north coast. we have a beautiful climate up here and its not as congested and Sydney or Newcastle. Forster, Port Macqurie, Coffs Harbour - all great places to live, and its getting easier to travell to sydney. We moved to port about 14 years ago and it took us the whole day to get to sydney, now we cn be there for morning tea! Its not too expensive here, and there are always people around to gelp you look for work in any of these places
I like Gosford. Wonderful people, all services, train station to the city, not far from the beach, reasonable cost of living. Come and visit! If you like it, you can stay!
