Starting The Uni of Sydney, what areas are nice to live in for young professionals? |
Travel Info I'm researching where to live near The Uni of Sydney. Interested in an area that is nice, close to public transportation, shops/bars/clubs/coffee shops/etc... and where young professionals tend to live. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Travel Tips Any of the suburbs around the Uni but particularly Glebe, Newtown and Erskineville. Excellent restaurants, close to nightlife, close to the city, excellent public transport, many young professionals. All three, while close to the city, have a village atmosphere and plenty of open spaces. You can walk to the Uni from any of them. Others Coogee,Randwick area good for transport and has everything shops, bars, restaurants beaches, gym and libraries Cronulla, not really close to the Uni but not really far from the uni, maybe a 20 minute drive or so, but its right on the beach and probably the nicest suburb in sydney to live. Living in the city is very convenient. I think the area of Uni of Sydney is quite at night and you might not dare to come out at night, maybe for food or some necessity. Then I rather recommend to stay in the CBD. Real convenient, close to transportation. Not scary at night. 5-10 mins by bus or you can even walk... Lived there for 4 years and I stayed on Pitt st. Actually many places in the CBD |
