Travel Info Does anyone know anything about the unused tunnels in Sydney.? Travel Tips There are extra tunnels in the city circle railway tunnels. One of these was partially used when the Eastern Suburbs line went in. There is also a very old tunnel under Sydney Harbour but it is impassable these days. Others I know that there is one that goes for miles underneath Parramatta Park. I think there are quite a few that were used and built by the convicts. very good question, I was wondering the same myself. I want to do a tour of the underground tunnels. spooky!! If you wiki CityRail, and follow a few unassuming links there is actually a wiki entry that tells you all about them. Also, the former Wynyard tram tunnels are now an underground car park. |
