Sydney/ Home Holiday Advice? |
Travel Info I live in Sydney - and I am an Aussie, have lived in City for quiet a while. My question is: I have two weeks off work next week and rather than go away I want to hang out at home, I will probably be flying solo for most of the time so does anyone have any good ideas as to what I can do with myself? Travel Tips At least take a trip somewhere for 3 days otherwise you will feel like you have done nothing and wasted your precious holidays! You could work on your fitness like jogging or going to the gym... Do cooking classes or experiment in the kitchen! Visit family and catch up with friends over lunch... maybe take a day trip to a beach, go to the cinemas or dinner at a fancy restaurant finished with some live theatre? Why not rearrange your furniture or paint your walls... maybe do gardening around the house. Lots of things to do! Others Go extreme liloing. Or sea kyaking. Love that. Are you an active person? If so you could do the Spit to Manly walk or if that is too long, the Bondi to Coogee walk. The ferry cruises with Sydney ferries are reasonably priced and interesting. I went on the afternoon one to Middle Harbour. It has a commentary. http://www.sydneyferries.info/timetables... The Ghost Tours at the Quarantine station at Manly are great but you might want to take a friend! And if you want an adrenaline rush go on the jet boat ride that goes out through the Heads and along the bottom of the North Head cliffs- it is AMAZING!!! Leaves from Manly. http://www.epicsurf.com.au/home.htm... And lastly- also at Manly, going up to North Head and sitting on the cliffs is a lovely peaceful thing to do |
