Where's the best night life party city in Australia, Sydney or Melbourne? |
Travel Info I plan on travelling to Australia in September and would love to know which city has the best night life and best spots to visit. I will be visiting for 12 days. Travel Tips I've lived in both Sydney and Melbourne and Sydney wins hands down for nightlife. The Rocks next to Circular Quay is excellent, even if you do a pub crawl along George St ending up in The Rocks, had many a night like that there. The Lowenbrau has excellent food and beers (it's a German themed pub) or you've got the Orient - both at The Rocks. Melbourne has more a funky off beat scene in it's back streets so the bars aren't quite as obvious as Sydney. Cafe's are more Melbourne for me. Others Best nightlife is The Rocks In Sydney Sydney or Melbourne it doesnt matter it depends on you and the night .I've done both and had a blast.Brisbane and Darwin are good aswell , Sydney has more variety than most other cities, but Melbourne has its charms it depends what your party style is, whether club or the local bar. you can find both Sydney leaves Melbourne for dead anyday. |
